Hello! My name is Lisa Bredahl and I am originally from Norther Michigan, near Traverse City. I began dancing at the age of 14 and only after a year of training, I began teaching dance. I am currently the co-director of the Kalamazoo School of Music & Dance and I have performed professionally with 3X3 Dance, Company Dance Traverse, Young Michigan Dances, Western Michigan University's Dance Department, and the Kalamazoo School of Music & Dance's professional adult dance company. I have studied ballet/pointe, jazz, tap, hip-hop, modern, musical theatre, swing, and Pilates. Though my main focus is ballet, I do enjoy learning new styles. I received a BA in Dance from Western Michigan University in 1999. My hobbies include enjoying warm weather, spending time with my family, traveling, music, exercise, and shopping. I reside in Kalamazoo with my husband, Tim, my 18 year old son, Trent, and my 16 year old daughter, Alana, and our golden retrievers, Libby and Sushi.
